Providing Training and Resources to Interior and Northern Alaska
Training and resources
are available to child care providers, parents, students, educators
and others working with young children throughout the Northern
and Interior regions of Alaska.
Service area includes Fairbanks, North Pole, Salcha, Delta,
Healy, Nome, Kotzebue, Barrow, Point Hope and other communities.
Free workshops, seminars, conferences,
and other training opportunities are available on a regular basis.
Monthly training calendars are published. All training counts
towards licensing hours required by the state.
Numerous self study materials
are available in various formats such as readings, videos, audio-cassettes,
activities and more.
Trainings can be specific to the provider's needs and offered
on site.
Individual Reimbursement Funds (IRF)
and Individual Travel Grants (IG)
are available for costs associated with training & travel
within the state such as university classes, online
courses, and conference fees for eligible state-licensed providers.
